Project: Create a photo-realistic image of a photographed product.

Product: Dove Soap

Design Solution: I had difficulty creating the dove logo imprint on the soap. Eventually I ended up using several blends to accomplish the desired effect.

Potential Improvement:
I would eventually like to adjust the text on the soap box. I didn't get it to fit exactly, and could use some improvement.

Stylistic Self-Portrait

Project: Create a self-portrait using a style from art history.

Art Style: Pop Art, specifically Roy Lichtenstein

Design Solution: The primary challenge that this project presented was mastering the hair details. I chose to make a basic outline of the hair on the computer, print it out, draw the details in by hand, scan it back into the computer, and trace it with the pen tool. I found that this process was much more successful than trying to free-hand in Illustrator.

Room for Improvement: Overall, I'm pleased with the results of this project, however, more detail could have been added to the cell phone, as well as the hair.
